Johannesburg - Public Service and Administration Minister Richard Baloyi has called on the business sector to actively get involved in improving the public sector.
Addressing the Black Business Executive Circle (Bbec) in Sandton, on Tuesday, Baloyi said Bbec members collectively and individually played a key role in debates about the transformation of the economy and the creation of opportunities.
"All of us as government and business must ensure a better life for all," Baloyi said, adding that they wanted to create a responsive public service.
The minister said it was imperative that government creates a public service that becomes a future for all. "We also need to create a public service that can deliver and raise the standard."
Discussions between government and business were themed 'My Public Service, My Future'. Baloyi said as government, they were working towards ensuring an effective public service. - BuaNews
